I'm not a great blogger. Actually, just freely writing something online is rather hard for me since I'm kind of a planner when it comes to posting whatever it is I'm writing, but I'll try to make this interesting. I'm not great at writing about myself so this blog will more than likely be dedicated to the news and/ or ideas I come across. (Maybe a few rants on the way -.-;)
I would like to first interest those that read this in this link: http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/science/12/16/melting.ice/index.html?eref=rss_topstories something I came across today while browsing. Whether global warming is true or not (I believe that it is) there are things going on that are obviously being effected by a climate change that we, as people, have created over the many years of our existence.
-"A few degrees of change [in temperature] can increase the amount of mass loss, and that contributes to sea level rise and changes in ocean current," Luthcke said.-

Oh man. Working in retail is a chore this time of year. Working 11am to 5pm. That's usually a short shift for me since I'm used to working 8 to 9 hours shifts but this time of year is just draining. Constantly busy, constantly on my feet. It's rewarding when customers are nice and, this close to christmas, they're really understanding when we don't have something in stock.

I would recommend people give their time to either a buddy program or big brother/sister program. It's lots of fun and doesn't really seem like work. It's mentoring for children and well worth it.
However, if you dislike kids, then there is always the food kitchens. This time of year, when the weather is cold in most northern countries, thye're pretty busy and always short on staff.

I don't believe in God or any God/ess's. I've seen religion abused over and over again and forced blame on that the appeal to believe in a higherpower (which has as much proof as ghosts do) is no longer there. I feel that anything i can learn from holy scriptures I can also learn from books with no religious meaning and people of various backgrounds. My beliefs are more science based, which leaves no room for God, and logic based. I can pick and choose my morals without them being layed down in front of me. I hold nothing against those who believe and respect thier choice to do so. I do not, however, want beliefs forced down my throat.

For me, it's always been my personality. Somewhere along the way, my humor became rather morbid, I rarely smiled, sarcasm was in every sentance, and I had some sort of superiority complex over other people. Entering a job, it was hard to not do these things and I became very fake. I had to work on my complex because, even though I'm a superior over my co-workers, my absence of emotion when explaining a problem to them makes it feel like I'm putting them down and making them feel stupid, which is not my intention. I'm still working on it because, apparently, knowing a few long words and throwing a bit of sarcasm into the mix plays with people. So far, it's just been a problem with males. Maybe a strong willed girl gets under their skin, who knows. But I'm working on it, trying not to talk down to them. My smiles are still fake, but that's more out of lazyness than anything else.

Right now, I want money. Lots of it so I can pay for college, pay rent on my (soon to be) new apartment, and to take a trip to Uganda, Africa! ..actually...scratch that.
I want my brothers back to be fixed without surgery.
